The Portland Rose Festival bursts into life, enchanting Portland and the entire Pacific Northwest for 25 days each June.
The 84th annual Rose Festival promises to entertain audiences of all ages. From an airshow to an Indy car race to three spectacular parades, the Rose Festival’s bag of tricks is filled with a symphony of exciting events!
There truly is something for everyone at the Rose Festival.
In fact, some 70 events are part of the Rose Festival magic, which ranks the Rose Festival as one of North America’s
Dusty the Delta Air Lion top 100 super events.
In the sky,
festival-goers watch in awe as world renowned aerial acts perform breathtaking maneuvers at the Rose Festival Airshow, rated as one of the top four airshows in the country. More than 30 hot air balloons fill the sky with vibrant strokes of color at the Festival’s Balloon Classic.
On the ground, audiences are dazzled by the elaborate floats, high-stepping horses and regional and national marching bands appearing in the Festival’s Grand Floral Parade, the second largest, all-floral parade in the nation.
The Rose Festival also boasts two weekends of thrilling high-speed auto racing, highlighted by an Indy car race featuring such internationally known drivers as Danny Sullivan, Al Unser Jr., Michael Andretti, Rick Mears and Emerson Fittipaldi.
The excitement continues along the Willamette River seawall with a carnival, exhibit area, food fair, international marketplace and tours on U.S. and Canadian Navy and Coast Guard ships!
So come be a part of the Rose Festival as it blooms this June, and join in all of the “Music, Magic and Make-Believe” in the “City of Roses” -Portland, Oregon.
