Municipal Popular Concerts The City of Portland presents a popular concert at the Public Auditorium each Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from November 13 until Easter Sunday, featuring the great Auditorium pipe organ (the largest organ north of San Francisco), along with bands, orchestras, singing societies, quartets, soloists, etc. The average attendance last season at 22 concerts was about 2000 persons, which fact has made it possible for the city to elaborate on the programs for the present season, inasmuch as the concerts must be made self-supporting an admission charge of 15 cents is made to cover the expense. The concerts are educational and are given without profit to any person or organization and are therefore exempted by the Federal Government from payment of war tax. HAL M. WHITE, Manager.
