Hole in the wall, Central Library renovation

Description

This photo was taken during the 1994-1997 renovation of Central Library. The Government Documents Room can be seen through a hole in an interior wall where a large clock was once mounted. Plywood covers the mezzanine on the western side to protect it during construction. Large windows on the northern and eastern sides of the room let in daylight. Transcribed from back of photo: 'Clock location in Gov't Documents rm. 11.28.95.'
