This report by the Urban League of Portland was released to the public on August 25, 1956, with a summary being published in the Oregonian the following day. It is comprised of two surveys; one gauging attitudes among homeowners in regards to living near African-Americans, the other tracking property values in both integrated and homogeneous neighborhoods over the course of the previous decade.
