Mr. ia>e saburo la nge,
0/ Hon. H« B, Miller,
American Consul-General, Yokohama, Jap an.
My dear ir,-
r have been informed through our mutual friend, Mr. Miller, of a package which you were kind enough to send to me and I beg tc acknowledge its receipt by the last Cteamer.Aragonia from Japan. Upon opening the case r was more than surprised to see the beautiful table on ac* ount of its most artistic, unique and beautiful work, and I assure yon that this token of friendship is most highly appreciated. My entire family joins me in thanking you for this kind remembrance. I never saw anything more artistic in the way of a piece of furniture as it combines the beautiful iris as it springs from, the ground, rises up and then forms a beautiful flower on top, producing the table itself.
Again, accept njy thanks and best wishes for this kind
remembrance by you, and believe me to be most
irector of Exhi hi t.n.
