Hon. Wilbur K. Hewell,
Dilley, Ore :on. My Lear Mr. hewe11:
Your portrait in the Evening Telegram of June 28th, was the first intimation I had that Washington County had honored Itself "by electing you a representative to the State Legislature,a position which you do not only deserve, hut I know you will fill it with honor and credit to yourself and your friends, among whom I want you to consider "mine self". Allow me to extend to you ray sincere congratulations and shake you toy the hands in spirit,if not in person, and I sincerely trust that the putolic political career you have entered upon may continue through the Senate to the Governor's chair, and none of your friends would be more rejoiced than I.
I add my kindest regards to Mrs. Hewell and yourself,
and I am,
Ever your friend,
