I beg to add to the many words of commendation., called forth from all parts of the country on the occasion of the closing of the remarkably successful Lewis and Clark Exposition, my own cordial congratulations to you, personally; on the eminently satisfactory results which have followed from your able conduct of the Exposition.
The recognition accorded by the Jury of Awards to Mellin's Pood and Mellin's Pood products, and accessories, was very gratifying. While I, myself, feel that the business of manufacturing and selling Mellin's Pood, to which I devote my life and energies, is worthy of my best efforts and stands for what is most advanced and progressive in the line cf infant feeding, it is a source of great satisfaction to have the value of the product recognized and appreciated by other competent judges.
My memories of the Exposition at Portland are very agreeable, and I am glad that I had. the privilege of meeting you as well as of observing the pleasing results of your intelligent directorship.
