Location of McElroy's
The text here says that McElroy's was on the site of the current Portland City Hall. I believe that's not correct.
The current City Hall dates to 1895.
McElroy's was at 424 SW Main, which would have been the SW corner of 4th and Main, one block North of City Hall. That property is now the location of the Portland Building.
