This photo, taken from Gwendolyn Hooker album, is of of George W. Hooker who was an Oregon Journal carrier. George Hooker would become a well known and respected resident of Pendleton. He worked as a florist, gardener, newspaper agent and proprietor of a tavern called Hooker’s Place.
