Description

Concert program for the String Ensemble, Federal Music Project of the Works Progress Administration, Harry Linden, conductor. The ensemble performed a Beethoven quartet and works by Grainger, Tchaikovsky and other composers. One of the pieces performed was composed by Portland composer/music educator/conductor/performer Ferdinand Sorenson who, along with other prominent local musicians, helped develop the Portland Youth Symphony.
