Description
Stereoview cards contain pairs of photographic images that, when viewed through a special viewer, create the illusion of a three-dimensional image. They were introduced in the 1850s and were a huge commercial success until the early years of the 20th century. More than half of the images in this collection are scenes in Oregon or the Northwest, a few showing other parts of the United States, and the remainder are views of Europe.
