The Lewis and Clark Exposition, the first and only world's fair held in Portland, Oregon, ran from June to October 1905 and was meant to bring international attention to the city while commemorating the centennial of the Lewis and Clark Expedition which took place between 1803 and 1806. This online collection includes official records and other images and publications related to the Exposition and were digitized from materials in the John Wilson Special Collections at Multnomah County Library. Most were a gift of Henry E. Reed, secretary of the Exposition. Additional images come from the papers of Henry Dosch, who was director of exhibitions at the Exposition.
